The
Kappa is a heavy-duty machine. The solid cast iron base and sturdy construction
with its 2,200-lb. guarantee high precision and longevity of the unit
throughout years of operation.
The cutting cycle happens with the machine automatically rising the blade at cut commands. The 600mm blade diameter has a maximum projection of 215mm above the working table, allowing the processing of clear cuts on material up to 200mm by 200 mm for 90° straight cuts and cuts up to 150mm on a 45°.
The
machine is manually set by the operator that can easily rotate the table in the
desired position by releasing the pneumatic lock and reading on the digital
display the desired target value.
The
tilting of the blade is assisted by pneumatic action with pre-set stops at 90°
and 45° for quick setting. Once the work
piece is loaded on the machine and secured in position with the action of the
clamps, following the safety standard protocol, the operator activates the
cutting cycle by holding down the “Cycle” buttons with both hands. First the
safety hood come down and then the blade will rise to complete the cut. Once
the blade has returned in the down position, the hood re-opens and the clamps
will release the pieces.
