eXess: Manual Routing Machine

The machine can be used in two different modes of operation:

1. Hand-held operation: The hand-held machine is placed on the workpiece to rout dovetail keyways, either with the aid of stops or with layout marks.
2. Stationary operation: The machine is mounted to a workbench with either screws or clamps. Material is then placed on the inverted machine and keyways are routed with the aid of stops or with layout marks.

After locating the keyway position, the machine is switched on and the keyway is routed into the material. The maximum router travel is 2 3/8” which is determined by a stop collar and scaled guide rod.

The machine features heavy-duty aluminum castings for reliable operation, precision linear bearings and a sight glass for quick work with layout marks. It is designed for Do-it-yourselfers and smaller professional woodworking shops and is also ideal for on-site and installation work.

Please note that beaded face-frame moulding cannot be joined with this model.
