X-20: Manual Routing Machine

The Hoffmann X-20 bench - top routing machine is equipped with a high speed router motor, located at the center of the machine. The supplied 45 degree fence plate, which is guided in a keyway in the machine table, is used to accurately position the material on the table.

The routing operation is started by pulling the main lever. A hold down plate is lowered onto the workpiece, pressing it on the table and holding it in place. Further pulling will lift the motor carriage up until the preset cutting height is reached.

The motor is switched on automatically by pulling the lever; it is switched off again when the lever is returned to the home position.

The machine has a steel base with cast-aluminum table top, precision linear bearings and an aluminum motor carriage for trouble free operation. It is designed for Do-it-yourselfers and smaller professional woodworking shops. Beaded face-frame moulding cannot be joined with this model.
