The NorthTech HB-800 bandsaw is equipped with a large cast iron table with tilt capabilities of 45 degrees (front-downward) for beveled cuts. A specially designed Bakelite fitted on the blade guide assembly provides excellent side support. Flywheels constructed of cast iron are balanced to ensure smooth operation. Operator safety is maintained through the machine's see-through guard. A tension scale and hand wheel provide the operator with the ability to easily and accurately adjust the blade tension for various blade widths. A control panel contains a manual star-delta switch overload protection and power feeder switch. Easy, fast shutdowns are available through the use of a foot pedal. To allow for versatility, the HB-800 is capable of being equipped with either a mechanical or pneumatic power feeder, ultimately giving the customer the ability to choose their own preference.
