Description:
The S2000 Series of Edgebanders are designed for shops that need to run eight hours a day while maintaining maximum productivity without compromising quality. Standard features include a Fully Programmable Graphic Controller, an extra Quick Disconnect Glue Pot, a Two Speed Feed Track, Hot Air Blower, a Two Coil Magazine Holder, etc. The S2000 Series are the heaviest machines in their class and are capable of applying a 15mm edge. |

GRAPHIC CONTROLLER:
The Orion 220 Graphic Controller eliminates all micro-switches. It is equipped with a graphic display that highlights the individual workstations. It is capable of storing 100 programs. The controller performs diagnostic functions to alert the operator of potential problems. It also records statistical data such as the number of pieces processed and the amount of banding applied. Control panel swivels 270 degrees for operator convenience.

BUFFING UNIT:
Unit has two .25 hp motors. The unit oscillates to utilize the full width of the wheel and prevent rounding of the panel’s leading edge.

PNEUMATIC PANEL SPACING:
The machine is equipped with a panel spacing device which prevents parts from being fed into the machine too close together.

MACHINE BASE:
The machine base is made of a tubular steel structure and is designed to assure maximum stability and accuracy.
|
PRESSURE BEAM:
All operating units raise and lower simultaneously when the pressure beam is adjusted. No adjustment is required for the glue roller when changing panel thickness. The pressure beam has digital height indicators and a single row of pressure rollers with steel bearings.

GLUE STATION:
Teflon coated glue pot for quick changeover. Device for automatic recovery of unused glue. Timer to automatically lower glue temperature on the glue roller and glue pot. Dual digital thermostats to control temperature of the roller and glue pot. Warm up time of approximately eight to ten minutes. Glue roller is independently driven with right or left hand rotation. The machine comes standard with an additional glue pot to facilitate different glue types and color changes. The extra pot will eliminate downtime due to maintenance.

PRESSURE SECTION:
There are a total of three pressure rollers for pressing the banding to the workpiece edge. The first roller is powered and applies pressure pneumatically. It is also Teflon coated to prevent the banding material from slipping. The two idle rollers have opposing one-degree tilt to provide extra pressure along the top and bottom edge. These rollers also have independent pneumatic adjustment. The machine comes standard with an automatic strip magazine.

END TRIMMING STATION:
This unit is composed of two independent .7 hp motors operating at 12,000 rpm. The unit is capable of tilting 0-10 degrees. It comes with top and bottom copy wheels which will not damage soft materials (i.e., veneer, metallic edge, etc.). The motors have quick release plugs to facilitate tooling changes and mechanical digital readouts for positioning.

ACOUSTICAL SAFETY ENCLOSURE:
All working units are enclosed under an acoustical safety hood to reduce noise and prevent accidents. The hood has a safety microswitch which prevents the machine from operating when the hood is open.
