The FM-82 series:
- Hot roll laminators that bonds pre-glued papers, transfer foils, and other heat sensitive materials.
- Substrates may be particleboard, MDF, other sheet stock, or other webs of material.
- Rollers or a rubber conveyor belt carries the substrate into the machine and under the nip of each roller where heat and pressure securely bond the laminate.
- Available with steel, silicone, or a combination of steel and siliconel rollers.
- Available as a top only laminator, or as a top and bottom unit.
- 8" diameter felt clean-off brush(es) with vertical adjustment and dust hood(s)
- Board pre-heat is also available.
- Variable speed drive powers the machine at up to 60 feet per minute.
- The Silicone covered nip rolls are externally band heated and gear motor driven.
- Bow roller located prior to the nip helps prevent wrinkling of the foil and other overlays.
- Thermocouple heat sensor with digital control automatically maintains accurate roll temperature. The sensor reads directly from the roller.
- Handwheel operated adjustable stop for substrate thickness with digital readout.
- The air operated tension brake on the unwind and air operated drive motor on rewind assures correct feeding of the overlay material. The unwind's standard roll capacity is 16" diameter.
- Operator Control Panel is located on the infeed end of the FM-82.
- Safety guards cover the heated rolls, feed belt, and all drive gears.
- Air lift is offered for the external heaters, to avoid roll damage in case of jam ups. Emergency stop is a standard feature.
